Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has launched eight new academic programs in a variety of subjects. This was made known by the University, as they said the introduction of the program was to supplement the already existing ones. These new programs covers disciplines like Sciences, Engineering, and Education.

The New Degree Programs at Bayero University Kano

Just a couple of months ago, Bayero University, Kano (BUK) set up plans to increase the number of their degree programs. The actualization of that was made known a few weeks ago by the University management.

The body desires to inform the general public that the university has launched eight new degree programs.
These courses are created in areas that were not available in the university.
If you would want to choose the Kano University, you can go for any of these degree programs as they are now accredited.

The previous administration of the Bayero University had begun the process of establishing new academic programs.
During the period under review, the new administration continued to push forward with the project and completed the procedure and resource verification of the following eight (8) new academic programs.
The new degree programs at BUK are highlighted below:
B.Eng. Automotive Engineering
BSc Taxation
BSc Forensic Science
Doctor of Veterinary Medical Science (DVM)
BA(Ed) Primary Education
BA(Ed) Early Childhood Education
BSc Environmental Health Science
BSc Meteorology
These programs are in the Engineering, Sciences and Education disciplines. These programs have earn full accreditation by the National Universities Commission before being put into public.

At the Senate’s 384th meeting, all of the programs were passed. The Management has finalized plans for student admission to all new programs in the 2021/2022 academic year.

A look at the added courses, B. Eng. Automotive Engineering, B. Sc. Environmental Health Sciences, B. Sc. Taxation, and B. Sc. Forensic Science are among the new programs.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), B. A (Ed) Primary Education, B. A (Ed) Early Childhood Education, and B.Sc Meteorology are also among the other approved programs, according to a statement signed by Hajiya Amina Umar Abdullahi, Director, Examinations, Admissions, and Records (DEAR).

The newly introduced degree programs at BUK are part of Vice-Chancellor Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas’ efforts.

Moreover, the new development means a lot to the augmentation of the current academic programs at the Bayero University Kano. As these programs have been brought into the school academic system, there is a certainty that the existing ones will be complemented.
